South Nation Conservation is conducting a rare turtle study in our area, Our club trails are primarily in the study area. We can help with very little effort. All we have to do is report any sighting of one of the 5 rare species. Here are the important links.

A brief description by William Greaves of the SNC:
"South Nation Conservation (SNC) greatly appreciates your willingness to help. We are currently in the third year of our rare turtle study and we are trying to increase our public outreach to help us better understand species at risk distributions within our watershed. The public, throughout their daily commute and activities, covers a much larger area than our SNC species at risk staff could and therefore have a good opportunity to come across our target species in areas that we have not been able to survey. The JATVC has an even better opportunity of coming across some of our target species because many of the trails chris cross our wetlands in remote locations. Our project is actually targeting 5 rare turtles within our watershed"
